My family (husband, 16 yo daughter and self)are just over two weeks into following the Paleo Plan. All three of us are feeling easily fatigued / tired a lot of the time. I expected some degree of this as we adjusted to the new diet and the lack of simple carbs (although we were eating healthy gluten free prior to starting paleo). I am wondering how much longer we can expect this to last or if I should be considering adding supplements & / or digestive enzymes to help. Also, we are more active than the average - husband runs 3 x per week and daughter and I run / lift at least 5 days per week. I have noticed I usually feel less tired after a workout - so maybe I am forcing my body into burning the fat reserves at that point? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
So happy to hear your whole family has gone Paleo - that's pretty rare :)
As for your detoxing, that's pretty normal, especially up til about a month into it. If it lasts longer than that, you know you have a problem. You guys seem pretty active, though.
